Dhammika Dharmapala
Dhammika Dharmapala is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Connecticut. He completed a PhD in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley, where he was an Alfred P. Sloan Doctoral Dissertation Fellow. His dissertation, on the political economy of Congressional budgeting, received the National Tax Association's Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award. He has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University, a John M. Olin Visiting Fellow at Georgetown University Law Center, and an International Research Fellow at the Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation. His research focuses on tax and fiscal policy, with particular emphasis on the effects of corporate and international taxation on the behavior of firms.
