Brian Erard

Brian Erard operates an economics consulting practice - B. Erard & Associates - in the Washington, DC metro area.  He has consulted widely on a broad range of tax policy issues with federal and sub-national governments in the U.S., Canada, and abroad.  Prior to becoming a full-time consultant, Brian spent a decade in academia.  He served on the economics faculties of Carleton University and the University of Toronto, and as a visiting professor at the University of Michigan Office of Tax Policy Research.  Brian has published extensively on issues of tax compliance, enforcement, and administration.
