William F. Fox

Bill Fox is the William B. Stokely Distinguished Professor of Business and the
Director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of
Tennessee. He is past President and recipient of the Steven D. Gold Award from
the National Tax Association and former Chairman of the Economics Department at
the University of Tennessee. He has held visiting appointments as Professor at
the University of Hawaii, scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City,
and Distinguished Fulbright Chair at the University of Frankfurt, Germany.
Fox has served as a consultant in approximately 25 countries and more than 10
U.S. states on a wide range of public policy issues. He has published
extensively in academic and nonacademic journals and is a frequent speaker to
business, government, and academic audiences around the world. His current
research is focused on improving tax structures and tax policies and enhancing
regional economic development.
