Daniel Wilson

Daniel Wilson is a Senior Economist in the Economic Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.  He has been at the San Francisco Fed since 2001, after receiving his Ph.D. in Economist from the University of Maryland.  His fields of research include research and development, public finance, investment, and labor and behavioral economics.  Recently, he has investigated the effects of various state tax policies, including research and development tax credits, investment tax credits, and the corporate income tax, on in-state and out-of-state economic activity.  He also has been studying the phenomenon of tax competition among states, with a particular focus on investment and capital taxes.  Dr. Wilson’s research has been published in a number of top economics journals.
