RESEARCH ASSOCIATE II

The University of Tennessee is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Research Associate II in the Center for Business and Economic Research. Duties include preparing economic and fiscal forecasts using econometric and other techniques and working on research projects by preparing and presenting data analyses using up-to-date software and other tools. Verbal and written interaction with clients is required. Responsibilities include preparing economic forecasts; conducting sophisticated statistical analyses of data, which could include organizing and maintaining large database and preparing analyses, charts, tables, graphs and maps; identifying and obtaining data and information as necessary; presenting results and interacting with clients to understand and assist in solving their problems; and exercising initiative in client services and research.

A Master’s Degree is required with excellent research and quantitative capabilities. The ability to work in a group environment is necessary. This person must have the ability to develop strong software skills. Excellent written and verbal skills are required. Research, statistical and quantitative capabilities are desired with the ability to work with economic forecast and other types of data.
